Visual grading of the timber by the operator

Timber having excessive bending or cracks are marked by the operator and removed through the following sorting flap in order to guarantee a smooth production flow.

Instead of the chalk marking it’s also common practice to sort out a workpiece by pulling it out of the reference line.
